It’s a federal regulation, I don’t care who you are. In a post 9/11 America people need to realize you waive certain luxuries when you board an aircraft and expect safety. I’d have applauded the flight attendants for this, it’s probably the first day in decades he’s been treated like a normal person. 

Charter a plane if you want to play words with friends on the tarmac, you can afford it.
