The Only Campaign Poster That Matters
The same people that don’t vote are the people that complain that the elected officials voted by the “wealthy and over-privileged” are in office. I know it’s a cliché, but to me by not voting you give up your right to free speech when it comes to complaining about people holding voted upon public offices. There is a write-in slot, you can vote for the extreme under dog if you think they’d be the best fit.
This is true though, except it’s missing a few words such as this:
A free country doesn’t mean everything is free.
I’ve been in Europe for 7 weeks now. You know why they have a lot nicer things than we do? I’m willing to bet a large portion of it comes from the 19.6% - 23% sales tax everywhere. We complain when it goes from 6.25 to 7.50, yell to make it go back down and then complain that we have to lay off teachers, cops, or firemen.
If you want change it won’t be easy, it won’t be fun, and it sure as hell won’t be free.
That’s my rant. I don’t reblog and argue, but if you want to yell at me for my opinion feel free to. I’ll take no offense.
