Road Trips
“I don’t know about this one, this is a tough one, we’re going through all sorts of climates, so snow coats, sandals, flip-flops, shorts, bathing suits, all kinds of stuff.” — Canucks’ goaltender Roberto Luongo on what he’s going to pack for the team’s 14-game road trip Am I the only person realizing that there is a 16 day olympic break in the...

KRONWALL!
How did you get injured AGAIN!? In overtime nonetheless. I know you frequently take hits for (y)our team, but I mean c’mon man - now you’re most likely going to miss the olympics unless you made it look worse than it is. I’m running out of fingers to cross for things…

Lamb Of God
Crossing my fingers that Lamb Of God can bring home a Grammy tonight. I know that the guys in the band feel honored that they were nominated and they don’t sweat the little things in life, but having seen how hard they work for what they get and the dedication they put in to their music and live show I would love to see them get recognized for it with a Grammy.

Things I Am Sick And Tired Of:
Every immature, adolescent, stupid girl that attends “shows” thinking that she is Penny Lane from Almost Famous. The Detroit Red Wings not winning inside regulation. Stop sleeping with touring musicians and acting surprised that they don’t want a relationship with you. Either call yourself a slut or grow up. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

chirpinhard: robajob: This is definitely the most in-depth look I’ve seen at this extremely overdue technology. With our capitalistic society though, I don’t see this being an affordable option for anybody. It will cause airlines to panic and increase air fare, cut short range domestic flights (i.e. lax - sfo), and in the end I don’t see either industry winning. I love the idea...

An artist turned friend that I had the pleasure of touring with and getting to know for a few months last year, Jesse Harris, accepting his Grammy Award at the 45th Ceremony for Song Of The Year. Please check out Jesse’s solo work here and/or listen to a song I uploaded here. Hopefully I can post another acceptance after this year’s Grammy Awards show as my guys in Lamb Of God...

Suit Up & Cross Your Fingers
dylanwins: joledo: Heard back from one of my favorite tour managers of one of my favorite artists this morning. I’m going to cross my fingers and hope that I get the job, even if it isn’t until April. Regardless of if I get the job or not, this is going to be one the tours I look forward to seeing the most this year. Don’t ask who, I don’t want to jinx it and it’s not announced yet. Just...

RIP J.D. Salinger, Author and Veteran.
Troops of the 4th Infantry move off the Utah Beachhead on D-Day “In the spring of 1942, several months after the United States entered World War II, Salinger was drafted into the Army, where he saw combat with the 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. He was active at Utah Beach on D-Day and in the Battle of the Bulge.”

Where's the third one?
weallhaveanchors: First, Howard Zinn dies Then, J.D. Salinger dies All bad things come in threes. Now which great author that I loved from high school is going to die? It’s a sad intellectual week. Pretty sure Salinger should be that great author that you loved, no?

State Of The Union
“In the United States of America, no one should go broke because they chose to go to college.” - Barack Obama Then do what I did and not go because I knew that I couldn’t afford it. I make on average the same amount as a high school teacher, yet I don’t have student loans to pay off. So tell me, is it really that bad that I didn’t go to college?

Avatar Now Officially the Highest-Grossing Movie...
It was only a matter of time, of course. But over the weekend, the inevitable became official. James Cameron has now outdone himself, at least in terms of box-office lucre. In just six weeks, Avatar has broken Titanic’s 12-year stranglehold on the record for world-wide ticket sales, and it is now officially the highest-grossing movie of all time. 20th Century Fox confirmed that the...
